Obituary for John "J.D." Dewey Eastridge

John Dewey “JD” Eastridge, 71, died at 4:00am, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, after a brief illness with cancer. JD was born December 4, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was raised in Campbellsville, Kentucky, started his career as a police officer in Richmond, Kentucky, made his home in Clearwater, Florida where he served as Deputy Police Chief until retirement. Following retirement he lived in Berea, Kentucky. He is survived by his mother, Audrey Sluder Eastridge of Campbellsville, his sweetheart, Judy Harden of Louisville, Kentucky, one nephew, Jay Eastridge (Jessica Eastridge) of Campbellsville, one niece, Merideth Jaskowski (John Jaskowski) of Franklin, TN, several great nieces and nephews; Lauren Dunham (Mike Dunham) of Somerset, KY, John Robert Eastridge of Campbellsville, Chloe Eastridge of Campbellsville, Kensington Moore and Jace Moore, both of Franklin, TN, and two greatgreat nephews, Easton and Hudson Dunham of Somerset. He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Teresa “Terry” Littleton Eastridge, his father, Robert Lee Eastridge, and two brothers, Billy and Bobby Eastridge. There will be a small gathering of family and friends to remember and celebrate his life. Expressions of sympathy can be in the form of an honorary gift to Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest and by becoming an organ donor through Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA). He will be laid to rest at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Kentucky.
